Viola's Videos is a 2014 American comedy webseries created by Douglas Harvey and Andrew Shaul. It is produced jointly by Harvey Studios and Sharvey Productions, being distributed by the former. The series is broadcast on YouTube on the Harvey Studios channel.
The series premiered on January 5, 2014 with the pilot episode Viola's Crossroads, and currently consists of one season of eight episodes.
Viola's Videos tells the story of the hard-drinking, under appreciated mother Viola Indigo (played by co-creator Douglas Harvey) and her desperate run from the mafia. Escaping her ordinary life to break free of a debt incurred from a defaulted Frank Sinatra CD collection, Viola's adventures take her down many paths of life that help strengthen her as a person. These lessons are then imparted onto those she loves, to varying degrees of success.
The first two episodes were created as graded projects for co-creator Andrew Shaul's video production class. When the character and her comedic adventures became a hit with the students and professor of the class, the character and her universe was expanded into a full web series with the core creative group remaining.
The episodes are written as thin "shells" which include the message Viola will learn and vague details about the events that will happen within the timeframe of the story. From that basic framework, each episode is produced entirely by improvisation - both in the cinematography, dialogue/actions, and the performances of the actors. The episodes are conceived and prepared by co-creators Harvey and Shaul together; and each episode is then directed and filmed by Shaul, and edited and produced by Harvey.

Season 1 - In Season One, Viola's past comes back to haunt her as the mafia returns to collect a debt. Fearing for her life and the safety of her family, Viola sets forth on a journey of redemption, starting with teaching her ungrateful son independence. When failure abounds, Viola can only do one thing: flee the country, no matter what the cost.
